By the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
Seedtime and harvest. Sowing and reaping. Whichever way you choose to say it, that is the way the whole Kingdom of God operates. Jesus said in Mark 4:26, “So is the Kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground”. Notice the words “so is” and “as if”. When He uses the words “so is” he is telling us exactly what the Kingdom of God is really like. Then when He says “as if” He is telling us how it works. What we should realize from this is that we are all farmers. Yes, we are all growing our own “gardens” everyday.
We know from the same Parable that the “seed” is the Word of God and the “soil” is the heart of man. God’s word is seed. God told us in Genesis that every seed would produce after it’s kind. He said, the “seed is in itself”. The seed has in it not only what is needed to produce the fruit, but also to produce more seed. Think about it. If you plant an apple seed, you will get an apple tree with apples, but inside those apples are more seeds to produce more trees and fruit and this process goes on indefinitely. In that seed is the ability to reproduce or to produce other seeds exactly like itself. The reason for the seed is not just to produce fruit, but to produce more seed. Wow, God really was smart when He set it up this way!
When a farmer plants a seed, he plants it knowing “that” it will work. He doesn’t have to know “how” it works, only that it does work. To many Christians get caught up in trying to figure out “how” it works. In trying to figure this out, many times they end up actually digging their seed up and don’t even realize it. Well, guess what? If you plant a seed and then go out and dig it up, you just killed your harvest. All you need to realize is that all seeds are “predestined” by God to produce after their kind. So you can be sure of your harvest before you plant. If you desire corn, do not plant cotton. This is an easy principle to understand but I am amazed at the Christians who just don’t seem to get it.
This is how everything in your life operates. Faith works like a seed. That is why Jesus said in Luke 17:6, “if you had faith as a seed, you would say to the sycamine tree, be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea, and it should obey you”. We have to take God’s word and plant it in our hearts to see the manifestation of what God has promised. There is much more to say on this and so we will continue in our next newsletter.
Thank you for your faithful prayers and financial support to this ministry. I need your continued help to go and tell others about the “Good News”. I have never asked for or made any pleas for money, but I am asking you to please continue to help us as the Lord leads and also pray for us. We appreciate all that you have sown into our lives.
