Healing For The Whole Man

Is healing still for today?

Is it God’s will to heal me?

Before anyone can have a steadfast faith for the healing of their body, they must be rid of all uncertainty concerning God’s will in the matter. Appropriating faith cannot go beyond one’s knowledge of the revealed will of God. Before attempting to exercise faith for healing, one needs to know what the Scriptures plainly teach. The Bible clearly reveals the will of God in regard to healing.

When Jesus bore away our sins, He also bore away our sickness and diseases. The Cross pronounced a complete cure for the ills of mankind. The Body of Christ has been made just as free from sickness as it has been made free from sin. Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law (poverty, sickness and death). (Galatians 3:13)

Most believers have only known a part of their redemption and their faith will only operate to the degree of their knowledge of God’s Word. Always remember, your faith stops where the question mark is. Many would have begun to live in divine health long ago if they had realized that healing belonged to them.

As you accept the fact that as surely as Jesus bore your sins, He also bore away your disease, your days of sickness will be over. The light of the Word will destroy satan’s grip in your life in the area of physical suffering. God’s Word is truth, and your knowledge of it will set you free when you realize that your healing has already been purchased by Jesus.

“Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows:  Yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:4-5)

THE MEANING OF THE WORD TRANSLATED “GRIEFS” IN HEBREW IS LITERALLY, “SICKNESS AND PAIN” BOTH PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL.

It is not God’s will for you to be sick with the sickness that Jesus carried for you. Jesus was willing to be made a curse for us, so that we could be free from it. Matthew 8:16-17 tells us that Jesus “…healed all that were sick; that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Isaiah the prophet, saying, Himself took our infirmities, and bare our sicknesses.” Jesus redeemed the Whole Man – righteousness for our spirit, peace for our mind, and healing for our body.

Jesus said, “THE WORD IS THE SEED” (Luke 8:11)

It is the seed of divine life. Until you are sure from God’s Word that it is His will to heal you, you are trying to reap a harvest where no seed has been planted.

It would be impossible for a farmer to have faith for a harvest before seed was planted. We must plant the seed of God’s Word in our heart before we can expect it to manifest in our lives.

Psalm 107:20 says, “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destruction.” Notice it does Not say that He sent His word “to” heal them. He sent His Word “and” healed us.

Many people say, “I believe God is going to heal me” and they can’t figure out why healing has never manifested in their lives. When you say, “I believe God is going to heal me” you just said that He hasn’t done it. God has said in His Word that it is already done.

Others pray like this, “Lord if it be your will…please heal me.” Those are faith destroying words. That is not planting the seed; it is destroying the seed. The prayer of faith which heals the sick is to follow (not precede) the planting of the seed (the Word) upon which faith is based.

SEED IS POWERLESS UNLESS IT IS PLANTED.

David said, “Who forgives all your iniquities, who healeth all your diseases.” (Psalm 103:3) After being enlightened, our attitude toward sickness should be the same as our attitude toward sin.

Our purpose to have our body healed should be as definite as our purpose to have our spirit healed. We should not ignore any part of the Gospel. Let me share one other thing that will help you to walk in the healing that God has given you.

Most Christians see themselves as “the sick” trying to get healed. You are not the sick trying to get healed. You are “The Healed” that the enemy is trying to bring sickness and disease upon.

SO, SEE YOURSELF AS THE HEALED AND WALK IN THE PROVISION THAT JESUS HAS GIVEN YOU!

The Bible says, “Let the Redeemed of the Lord, say so.” Say, “GOD HAS SENT HIS WORD AND HEALED ME AND DELIVERED ME, AND BY THE STRIPES OF JESUS, I AM HEALED!”

And, SO IT IS, SO IT IS, SO IT IS! ALL IS WELL, AND ALL SHALL BE WELL!
